Leather is soft and flexible and sole is very soft and comfortable. Not as heavy and rugged as some other Cat boot styles. Good for casual, everyday wear but maybe not the best choice for heavy duty outdoor work. Size seems to run just a touch big but not bad.CAT phased out my favorite work boots which were feather light yet tough. I was very sad until I found the last of those models on E-bay and bought them ALL. Once those wore out, my tired old feet were crying and I took a chance on this pair. The reviews were good and spot on - they are feather light yet tough as nails and grip the ice really well. Look good too! I WILL buy these again and highly recommend them!It took a while to convince my husband to try these boots. As a general contractor, he was going through expensive tennis shoes, that he’d wear on the job sites, like crazy. He loves these boots and says they’re more comfortable than any shoe he’s ever worn. Normally very frugal, he doesn’t like me to buy him anything! However, he doesn’t give me any flack for buying him these boots in different colors. We live in hot climate weather which gets up to 110 degrees and he’s never complained about his boots being too hot. Now...how to get him out of them?!
