I had been admiring these red boots for over a year, wanting to buy them but feeling guilty about spending that much money on something frivolous. I was showing a photo of the boots to Stacia, my 97-year-old friend, and telling her how much I liked them. She asked me, "Do you need them?" I said "No." Then she asked, "Do you want them?" I said "Yes." Then you should get them," she said, "before they're discontinued and you end up regretting not buying them." So when I noticed the price had finally dropped a bit, I bought the boots. They fit perfectly. The leather on the outside is beautiful, and the leather lining is so soft! When they arrived in the mail, I put them on and immediately went to see Stacia to show them to her and to thank her for encouraging me to buy them. While she admitted they were not her style, she understood why I liked them, and she told me she was proud of me. I'm now in the process of building outfits around my lovely red Ringer boots. And I have a new appreciation for the wisdom that comes with age.
