The soles of these shoes are very comfy - like walking on clouds. I was looking for shoes to wear on cobblestone streets on our travels, while not standing out too badly like a tourist. These fit the bill - they feel like comfort shoes but don't look like them. I plan to wear them a lot.The only issue is the sizing. I wear a consistent 39 in most shoes, and I ordered a size 39 in these... they were huge. So I sent them back and ordered a 38, and oddly they still fit funny. The length of the sole is a little short, while the straps are still very loose on my feet. If I'm standing straight with equal weight on both feet, the straps don't even touch my feet, if that makes sense. So I'm worried they won't feel secure with walking long distances.Very cute and comfortable and functional. Got them for an upcoming trip to Disneyworld, I’ll update my review once I’ve walked miles in them. They would get 5 stars but.. ankle straps are REALLY loose, I do have narrow feet, but they won’t even stay on. I liked them enough that I took them to a shoe shop to have them tightened at the ankle, but it’s a bummer spending $16 extra on a pair of shoes that are already pricey.Update—- walked more than 10 miles a day for a week in the same pair at Disneyworld and I’ve never been more comfortable! No blisters or uncomfortable rubbing, no foot pain attributed to the shoe at all, just tired feet from walking. These are great travel shoes! I’ve since purchased several other pairs of eccosTHESE SHOES. I was hesitant to spend this much money on a pair of sandals but these shoes are worth every penny. I bought them for a trip to Europe, where I have been walking 10+ miles every single day. I might be tired at the end of the day, but my feet? Totally fine. They are comfortable right from the box and the straps are soft and do not rub at all, in my experience. I haven’t had a single blister despite hours and hours walking in the heat.best of all, they are just really cute shoes! They are perfect for travel because they go with literally everything in your suitcase, neither overly dressy nor too casual, and great with pants and dresses alike. My only watch out is that the straps run pretty big. My foot does slip in them and has caused me to trip a few times. It’s a little annoying but the overall comfort and long-distance capability of these shoes outweighs this drawback.I've been looking for some comfortable, casual, cute walking sandals. These came highly recommended, so I ordered a pair in warm grey. While these sandals felt like I was walking on pillows, the color was not what I was expecting. I thought the warm grey would be more of a matte color, but it ended up having a gold-ish sheen to it that wasn't my style.Based on other reviewers, I ordered about a size down from what I normally wear (usually a 9-9.5 and got the 8-8.5) which seemed to be a good fit (maybe sliiightly small, but comfortable). Unfortunately, I've got wider feet which didn't fit nicely within the width of the sandal.I ultimately returned the sandals, but would definitely be open to trying them again in another color and with a wider fit.As far as fit they are a little bit longer than needed and a little bit narrower than I'd normally like. They are very comfortable. They look great and pair well with shorts, dresses and or jeans. The toe strap gave me a massive blister on my big toe and on both pinky toes. Perhaps wearing them all day at Cedar Point was a bad idea. Still wearing them the other day while at the mall it rubbed my toes in the same spot. So I think for now I'll stick to wearing them for shorter outings with less walking. I'm not sure if I'd buy these again but I'd be willing to try another style of Ecco shoes.Love love love these sandals. No break in time at all. Bought them, received them the day before I left so just kind of had to hope for the best. I regret nothing! Many reviews said to order a size smaller because hey run big BUT other website reviews said true to size was fine. I went ahead and order true to size and they did fit too big. Could have gotten away with a half size smaller. However, since walking around in the heat of Spain the extra room is great for when my feet swell in the heat. If you are prone to swelling feet order true to size because they will fit just rightS the extra room when my feet are normal is hardly noticeable. When my feet swell, the shoe isn’t squeezing it fits just right. I would happily buy these again after my current pair falls apart.I bought these for a trip to Italy. I went in early October and let me tell you, I wore these almost everyday. I loved the fact that they were tan and black, so they went with virtually everything I wore. I received many compliments on them. You can wear them with a black knit dress, or with capris!I would say that I though they'd fit similar to other sandals and sneakers I own. I bought a 8.5 and they were a little loose. I won't say this is a bad thing though, as I never got any blisters from them, and they weren't too large that I was afraid they'd fall off or anything. There wasn't enough time to try and exchange them before my trip, but if I every buy another pair from Ecco, I might start with a size 8.I wore these on a 3 and a half week trip through Asia and they were incredibly comfortable. I have quite flat feet so flat shoes like these usually give me some trouble, but my feet were never sore. My ONLY complaint was the ankle strap size. Like many other reviews suggest, they are too wide for the ankle, so it can cause some slipping around of the foot (and therefore blisters). You can always get that fixed, though. I cut my strap and velcroed + super glued them shorter (it was about 1-inch too long), but I'd recommend just getting them fixed properly at a shoe repair place since the quality of the shoes themselves are excellent.Lovely comfortable shoeLovely but enormous - far too wide on my D width feet.Comfortable & lightweightThis is my second pair of the Ecco Damara, they are easy to put on and off, fit great, super comfortable walking all day in them(they dont fall apart if they get soaked, but do stretch out a little, learned that on a theme park ride that got wetter than I thought it would). I get lots of complements on them when I go out, wear them dressed up if I dont want heels or for everyday. They are excellent quality and worth every penny.Hands down best shoes I’ve ever purchased! Bought specifically for a holiday in Hong Kong where I knew I’d be walking a lot. I broke a toe 12 months ago and consequently have a lot of trouble with my foot and finding shoes to wear...since I got these I’ve purchased another pair of Ecco sandals for myself, a pair for my Grandmother and Grandfather, both who have serious trouble with their feet, and sandals and runners for my daughter who is autistic with sensory processing disorder - she won’t take them off! Highly, highly recommended. From the first wear they didn’t rub or cause blisters and I am fully converted to these shoes. Would buy again in a heartbeat. Amazon posting to Australia was also brilliant.
